No new posts Hyrule Kingdom

The central area of Hyrule is a landscape free from the provincial extremes; neither too warm nor too damp nor too wooded. Much of this landscape is taken up by the vast expanses of the Hyrule fields, verdent plains and lush grasslands that spread for many miles and touch against the borders of the innermost provinces. At the centre of this lanscape sits the walled city known as Castle town; which itself is dominated by Hyrule Castle, seat of the Queen and of Hyrule's government. These lands are the heart of Hyrule's strength and as such most of the population of these lands is Hylian; though immigration is welcomed and other species also live within the walls of town, sharing in the prosperity of the Kingdom of Hyrule.

No new posts Lanayru Province

A land of prosperity and royalty, Lanayru Province is filled with some of Hyrule’s most beautiful and well-known landmarks. The fast-flowing rapids that churn throughout the length of Zora's river is in harsh contrast to the serene and graceful Lake Hylia, where one can go for a bit of rest and relaxation. While the majority of the province is the domain of Hylians, residing along the uppermost flanks of the Hyrule fields and along the banks of Lake Hylia, one cannot forget about the illustrious Zora kingdom, guarded by the dangerous and yet always breathtaking Zora River. So whether you’re looking to start a life or just take a swim, Lanayru Province has everything and more.

No new posts Eldin Province

Covering the majority of North-eastern Hyrule, the Eldin province contains one of Hyrule's most striking landmarks, Death Mountain, visible from virtually anywhere else in the country. Death Mountain is home to the Gorons, who make their home in Goron City, expanding into the Goron Mines, which burrow deep into the mountain. In the scorching crater, the sacred Temple of Fire is hidden somewhere amongst the lava. At the foot of this active volcano lies the town of Kakariko Village, the second largest Hylian habitation in the land, and former home to the Sheikah. One of the legacies of these people is the Shadow Temple, a place which is said to hold some of Hyrule's greatest evil. The entire province has something of a patron goddess in Din.

No new posts Faron Province

The province of Faron is sandwiched between the Kingdom of Hyrule and the newly added Ordona Province, yet this one has been around for centuries as an outlier to the main lands of Hyrule. The oldest and most mysterious part of these forests would be Kokiri Forest and the Lost Woods, which houses the Deku people – both the eternal Kokiri children, their fairies, and of course the mischievous Skull Kids. Getting lost in these areas can be life-changing. The more accessible Faron Woods, which is the only gateway between Hyrule Fields and Ordon Village, has many paths so that a lost traveler will always find his way. And finally, the Deep Portal, a strange rabbit hole in the heart of the province is one of the only entries to the twisted realm of Termina. No matter what your path, please be sure to bring a map.

No new posts Ordona Province

Recently annexed into the vast kingdom of Hyrule for reasons unknown to the general public, the Ordona Province is masked by a feeling of great comfort and peace. The most popular village here would be Ordon Village, tucked away peacefully from the rest of the world. There is also a beautiful spring close by, known for its healing properties. While the thought of this sounds absolutely wonderful, it should be made perfectly clear that Ordona Province is not the great paradise it is made out to be – for south of Ordon Village lies Fort Mohblaargh, a place of danger and utter mayhem if your race doesn’t end in –blin. And traveling south from there is just… insanity! Who knows what undiscovered land lies south of the fort?

No new posts Desert Province

To the west of Hyrule lies a vast desert, strewn with desolate sandy dunes and barren canyons winding their way through sandblasted rocks. Home to the Gerudo tribe, the desert is rarely visited by the peoples from other tribes; for the Gerudo are watchful for trespessers upon their lands and quick with the blade.

No new posts Peak Province

One of Hyrule’s most secluded and desolate provinces, there really is not much known about these mountains in the northwest sector of Hyrule. The only known race to inhabit these mountains would be the gentle giants, the Yetis, although most are known to hang out around Yeti’s Peak, the only real village any explorers have found in that area. The Frozen Lake is also at the base of the mountains, and is a great place to go if one is looking for a day away from the responsibilities of life. Peak Province is very undiscovered, and is just waiting for a curious adventurer to delve just a little deeper.

No new posts Central Termina

The central plains of Termina are a wide open space - however, much of it is uninhabited, especially the northern fields in which large monsters roam freely, and the desolate western fields, the gateway to the cursed land of Ikana. The largest artificial structure in the field (apart from clock town itself) is the Observatory, a place that has been kept in permanent working condition since the events of the Moon Crisis..

No new posts Southern Swamp

The Stinking, humid swamp to the south of the Termina field covers a large area. Towards its edges the growth is quite foresty, with many trees along the passageways and an area known as the woods of mystery inhabited by talking Monkeys. However, deeper into the swamps it gets wetter and more mysterious. A pair of twin witches work their magic here, and even further in is the Palace of the Deku Kingdom. Right in the heart of the swamp, the ancient, extinct volcano known as woodfall provides the waters which allow the habitat to continue.

No new posts Northern Mountain

To the north of Clock Town looms mountains dusted in white. Winter seems to be like the eternal season the higher up one climbs, yet once upon a time this was true for the surrounding area, also. Now, though, the two villages on Snowhead are salvageable, and once again inhabited by a variety of different groups of people. Traveling to the top is still a treacherous adventure, although once you do the mysteries of Snowhead will rear their heads for the adrenaline seekers looking for something to do. This world of snow and ice is one of great adventure, yet also a strange tranquility.

No new posts Western Ocean

Truly a peaceful land now, the area known simply as Western Ocean is made up of Zoras, Pirates, and good music. Western Ocean is literally the Great Bay, plus the beaches to the east. Yet it is what one finds when they travel through the placid waters that makes this an interesting place to be. Between the zora hangouts and the xenophobic pirate fortress, one could only be surprised by the fact that there is even more. Pinnacle Rock, a structure which is surrounded by treacherous waters and dangerous snakes, and the Marine Research Lab – one of Termina’s greatest links to the world of knowledge.

No new posts Eastern Canyon

The Eastern Canyon is the most arid and desolate area of Termina, with sparse rainfall and rugged, rocky terrain. This alone would deter most sensible people from visiting, but as if that were not enough, the unquiet spirits of the dead haunt the Eastern Canyon of Termina. The ancient Kingdom of Ikana and their Garo assailants continue a war that ages ago lost all point and meaning, the living of both cultures now long destroyed by the passage of time. Despite the curse of undeath that lies over these lands many Terminans bury their dead in the Ikana graveyard, though family or friends rarely tend the graves here. A few brave or devious souls do make their home in Ikana, some even within the desolate Ikana village, but their numbers are few and more often then not these people will someday join their neighbours in undeath.
